What to expect in online classes

I teach in a slow mindful way that's accessible, helping you feel connected to your body and breath. Classes blend classical yoga postures with tai-chi inspired fluid movement, slow flowing sequences, and postures for strength and balance. At times you'll be challenged and at other times a chance to release and soften.  This creates a 'yin/yang' feel to the class so you can access both calm and inner strength.

Yoga is a journey in getting to know yourself - your deeper True Self which is calm, wise, strong and peaceful. Through the practice of asana (posture) intention, meditation, our connection with ourselves, others and the Earth, we come to a greater understanding of what it means to be alive in deep gratitute, and we keep returning to this.

Classes also incorporate embodied practices from the 8 Limbed Path of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, such as pranayama (breathing practices), dhyana (meditation) mudras (energy alignment gestures)

and mantra (chanting) helping towards integration or Union/Yoga.

My aim is to leave you feeling mindfully stretched, toned, and balanced in your body and mind, giving you an oppurtunity to release and re-balance.

With regular practice, you'll find it promotes better health in daily life as you feel more ease, strength and confidence in your body and a more peaceful inner world.

Whether you're a beginner or more familiar with yoga, my sessions are suitable for everyone and I always offer modifications.
